The Stained Glass Pub is closed. The building was recently purchased by MD Now Urgent Care, so it appears that this will be a medical clinic and not a new restaurant.

The first thing you'll notice about the Stained Glass Pub is that its not really stained glass; its just a clever paint job. You might think that the place looks like a cathedral, but its really not like that at all. Its a place thats virtually all old-time regulars. Most people in Fort Lauderdale have never been to this place.

The stained was a great bar. Sadly missed. Few & far of these type of bars around these days

I was looking for the marinade recipe for the shish kabob platter.

Some good news. The building is gone. They've torn it down.

I have to disagree about the "most people" statement. Most people in Broward County were not even living here prior to 1980. Most people who actually grew up here and have a history in the area longer than a couple of decades certainly did go there, along with many other establishments that made the area interesting. It was a very convenient watering hole right on Federal and, at one point, had some of the best pre-recorded rock music anywhere. For free. Something that was as unique then as it is now. Definitely not some out of he way corner bar which the comment makes it sound like:)

Im sure the free music was before ASCAP and BMI started shaking down clubs and restaurants for royalty fees. My point was that the place was WAY out of date and they had no idea how to get people to go there.
