Critic's Review
3 years ago, you had to drive up to Stirling and Route 95 if you wanted some Chipotle; this opening marks the 4th new Chipotle in Fort Lauderdale in 3 years.
What makes this one different? Nothing at all. They're all pretty much the same, with a half-finished plywood look, good music and the long community tables with fixed stools.
Like all Chipotles, they have lemon wedges but no splenda, so no iced tea for me. I got my usual bowl with no rice. I rarely eat the while thing in one sitting so I got it to go.
Nothing fancy here. I sat down, took some pictures and dug in.
They were a bit chincy with the spoonfuls here, but all in all, a pretty good bowl of stuff; veggies, both kinds of beans, tomato salsa, lettuce, cheese and sour cream. A slow-carbers dream.
The first time I went to Chipotle I got a burrito and I wasn't very impressed. Once I figured out that I don't want the tortilla; and you figure out what you like, its a very inexpensive meal and a half for under $7. A must-do every once in a while.
