Description

They've seemed to rename Bull Market to Zane's without even bothering to do a fictitious name filing. Probably the same slugs as before with a new sign.

The Dubliner Pub didnt last long; I'd heard that they wanted out but they had a long term lease (The building is owned by YOLO owner Tim Petrillo).

Another restaurant is replaced by a bar with sliders and tacos; the city is falling into a culinary abyss. ROK:BRGR, American Social, Tap 42, Public House, Fork & Balls (guessing), Taps and now Bull Market; Yet another place for ballcap-wearing callows to drink beer and eat finger food.

On Saturdays and Sundays they serve Brunch, a $24 buffet. They don't have their hours up on their FB page and they discontinued their web site, so who knows when they open? Something to note is that they don't start serving "lunch" until 1pm, so you're only choice before 1pm is to get the Brunch. Women get free Mimosa's, so if you 're male or don't feel like getting plastered on Saturday Morning, you've been warned.

They list Mark Heigl as the "chef" of both Bull Market and Chow; he was previously the "chef" at Brio Hallandale.

They're open for lunch now, but their menu is so stupid and expensive I can't bring myself to go. We know what we have here; a lot of fake ads, fake awards from the liars at New Times, and food cooked by whatever nobody cooks that were desperate enough to work here.

When you go to Yelp to try to find a picture of something that looks good and you see nothing but bad bar food, there's no need to spend $20 to try it out.

How is this place still open?

My thoughts exactly. Place is a joke...

Menu is updated. It's just about completely different with more contrived stuff at higher prices.

Brunch is now $24, because it's sooo good.

I wonder is giving away free drinks to ladies is a violation of an SRX liquor license? I know you can't have a free food buffet in a bar if you have a smoking waiver.

Sounds like what Bova Prime used to do; Every Thursday there was a big table of girls in the corner eating free meals. But they were such a bunch of bitches they didn't really make anyone want to go there. They just ate and then left.

It seems that they gave up on their web site. It was down and now they've removed the link. It's reminding me a lot of whiskey tango. 24/7 propaganda.

I'm thinking that the owners of the building (YOLO group) are not too picky when it comes to their leases. They'll take anybody that will pay the rent. They don't care....

You have to question the concept. I mean the people who hang out in this area aren't exactly the wall street type.

You guys actually forced me to go look up the Yelp review on this place. The one guy who gave them a bad review actually said the food and drinks were tasty (2 stars?) and the other said he didn't even eat there. Which one of the reviews is fake again? Yelp is a joke.

All of the 5 star reviews are fake. Where "fake" is defined as "planted by someone with a clear and obvious bias".

I think that Marqus' review of Bull Market on Yelp proves how dishonest 90% of the population in Fort Lauderdale is. How could the other reviews have left out the 3/4 of the place isn't even open yet?

Sliders and Craft Beer. What a fantastic new concept! #Sarcasm

The fake reviews on Yelp have started already. Whenever a review starts with "This is the best bar in Fort Lauderdale" you can pretty much move on to the next one. They have 2 of those.

Wow, you weren't kidding. That first 9 page "review" really loves it's hyperbole. I tend to ignore any review that has more exclamation marks than periods as a way to end it's sentences. Also, I don't trust any man who uses the word "scrumptious" in an non-ironic sense.

The way the second review was worded doesn't even make it sound "fake", it sounds like the dude is TRYING to get the point across that he either works there or is somehow connected.

You can't stop the signal, Mal!

Have stopped by here twice over the last week. Both times pretty empty and no music playing (odd for bar!) and didn't notice a real theme as far as being a "stock market bar." They had one pretty small screen showing up and down prices of drinks but you would think as that is the concept it would be on multiple screens as a focal point of the bar. Do we know if they are still working on the decor/setup or is this it?

Didn't know they were open. Did they find a chef or are they just serving pizza from Squiqqy's?

They're doing In The Biz 7 nights a week after 10pm, so you can be assured that you'll be hanging out with busboys and dishwashers. Is't that what you do AFTER you find out that you have no full paying customers?

My roommate used to work at Tango for years and I just showed her this article and she laughed her ass off at the "egging on their Facebook followers to vote for them." so hard that she said, "Who ever wrote that article just made my entire week, please tell them thank you." So I guess the FB thing was pretty spot on. She also told me she's pretty sure it's just one of the owners from WT running Bull Market, the dude that owned Tootsies is apparently not involved.

I dont understand why you are writing a bad review for a place that isn't even open yet. Shouldn't you at least give them a chance to get the doors open?

It's not a bad review. I'm merely commenting on the absurdity of someone having a chef-driven concept without having a chef. You have to work with the tools you have. It's unlikely that some top chef is going to want to work for these guys. And Whisky Tango has the same food as every other bad restaurant around here: burgers, flatbreads, mac & cheese. There's no reason to have any hope here.
