Critic's Review
Chops is one of those places that defined Boca; and which Boca defines. It's a really nice place, but the clientele is so odd that the place is often uncomfortable.
To put it nicely, the crowd can be quite "mature". A 40yo might feel like a child in here. Old men with their much younger women. 90yo couples. It's quite a mix.
This is the kind of place where you could arrive right on time for your reservation, wait 20 minutes, and then be seated in a largely empty dining room, and then have 6 different servers running around. It can be annoying and you'll find yourself snickering. But they try.
The food, while not particularly adventurous, is very good. You can eat at the bar for a less stuffy experience. The dover sole is very good.
