Who opens a sports bar just down the road from Duffy's? The Grand Tavern, that's who.
I'd been in this place before when it was the King's Diner, an ill-advised diner/BBQ/Bar combo. I was surprised to walk into this place and see that it's not much different, except that they have put up a lot of TVs. With the Red Sox and Yankees both playing, the TVs were tuned to auto racing and ESPN. I asked if they got baseball, and they assured me that they did. But nobody knew how to work the TVs. Some guy said that someone was working on it, but I saw no evidence of that. I thought to myself "Duffy's has 40% off food so why am I dealing with this".
I doubt I'll be back. It just didn't seem to have anything to offer that I couldn't get anywhere else.
