Description

Finster Murphy's is a fish store; you can buy seafood salad but they sell fresh seafood first and foremost. I was looking for a nice piece of flounder but I found the prices here excessive. The price of fish is excessive, but when it costs as much to cook it yourself as it does to eat out there's something wrong. $18.99 for Mahi; $17.99 for Flounder and $19.99 for Grey Sole. If you're looking for high end "wild" fish, they have a nice selection. But I'm going to seek out someplace else to see how they compare.

I noticed that their facebook page categorizes them as a "Seafood Restaurant"; and the last time I was there they had a board up with lunch specials. They have tables set up outside the restaurant.

But they don't seem to have a license to sell food. I'm not sure what the rules are for "markets" in terms of what they're allowed to do. I guess a store can sell prepared foods, like seafood salad, but it seems to me that if they have tables and chairs and sell fish sandwiches that they ought to have to have a food service license. Perhaps someone from the DBPR can weigh in.
