Critic's Review
Even with a captive audience and the not very good Jimmy's next door; a bad deli simply can't survive. They were trying to sell this place for a delusional price for over a year. The courthouse area is still a construction zone with zero non-court related foot traffic.

Tower Deli looks like they've sold a template to someone, and up springs Our Deli with a similar web site and similar menu. Think about it; Tower Deli is not Our-Deli. Europeans now own it, probably serving the same stuff from the same vendors as tower.
It's a very small space and there's no parking, so unless you're on jury duty there's little reason to come here
Tower Deli Review
When Nosher's opened a Deli in this space, just 2 doors down from Jimmy's Courthouse Deli, I wondered if 2 delis could survive. Tower Deli has taken over the space, perhaps with an arrogance that they can do better. The issue with this location is that there's no parking during the day and no people on the weekend. Beating out Jimmy's shouldn't be difficult, but can a Deli make enough with no evening, take home or weekend business?
I took a walk over the bridge one day, with full expectations for having a sit down breakfast. Fat chance of that. There are no tables inside; there's just a counter and a ledge; no waitress service here. So I ended up getting an egg sandwich. Their normal price for a sandwich with meat is $5.49, which is just crazy high. They had a special which was a sausage egg sandwich with coffee for $4.99, so I decided to get that and take it out.
1 egg, hard cooked, slightly melted cheese and a sausage patty on a roll. With no butter or yolk, the sandwich is just dry and has a way too high bread to food ratio. For $5 they should give you 2 eggs (what are eggs, 16 cents?) and they should have some yolk flowing to give the thing some flavor. No salt or pepper, and they didn't ask. At the Melville Deli on Long Island, a 2 egg sandwich with ham or sausage and cheese and coffee is $2.80. And it's so much better than this I can't even put it into words.
The coffee seemed ok until I got a mouthful of coffee grinds.
The problem with this place is that it's not nearly as nice as their other location in Davie yet the prices are the same, and there are other, better choices (such as CJs Cafe) nearby. If you're not on Jury Duty, there's no reason to come to this place. They get $8.99 for a chicken salad sandwich and $12/lb for chicken salad, which is patently absurd.
