Description

Miami food truck opens a brick and mortar store in that stretch of Fort Lauderdale on the way to Pompano beach.

The concept here is kind of deceiving, at least it was to me. To me, the name suggests pressed sandwiches, like paninis. But what they have here is a bunch of standard sandwiches that have been renamed with generic newspaper names.

The Post = Hamburger
The Journal = Pulled Pork
The Tribune = Grilled Chicken Sandwich
The Sentinel = Cheesesteak

You can get a salad too.

Seems to me it might work better on a food truck; we'll see how well they do in this part of town. Nothing revolutionary here.

I was parked outside and decided to eat at TGI Friday's instead. I couldn't pull the trigger on anything on their menu.

You've been reading this site for years now; have you ever seen me order a kale salad?

The sandwiches are small too. I don't know how they survive. Why is the steak and chicken the same price?

People are stupid. A chicken sandwich costs $1. The current thinking in the restaurant business is that people will pay a certain price for a meal. So you push cheap ingredients like pork and chicken and charge the $9 or $10. Other than Administrator, most people don't do the calculations to realize that they're being cheated.
