Critic's Review
Review 5/21/13
It should be difficult to park in the Lime Green Shopping center, but due to the non popularity of Lime Fresh Mexican and Joe's Seafood/Crab Shack, there's always plenty of free parking.
Jimmy Johns is an interesting place. Most sub shops have are hole in the wall mini-storefronts with a counter and maybe a couple of tables. I can't remember the last time I ate a sub in house; maybe when I was a kid and I was either on foot of traveling by bicycle. But Jimmy John's is a pretty nice place, with big, easy to read menus and no-nonsense menu choices.
They have 3 choices, all 8". You can get it without the veggies and sauce for $4.50, normal for $5.50, or with another layer of meat or cheese for $6.50. They also have a Gargantuan for $8.50, which is sort of a dagwood sandwich. Today I went for the #8, the Billy Club. Roast Beef, Smoked Ham and Cheese.
This one is a little bit bigger than other Jimmy John's, you could eat comfortably in here.
I had barely sat down and a dude walked over with the sandwich. "That was fast, I said". "We're Freaky Fast", he replied. Indeed.
No bags here, and they don't cut the sub in half either.
There's nothing really crazy about these subs. Not overly stuffed, but for $6.50 it's about what I'd expect.
Not sure why, but I always enjoy Jimmy John's. I wouldn't go out of my way for it, but it's always an option for a quick lunch when you're pressed for time.
