Description
The Restaurant People finally rented this place to what appears to be a first time operator who lives off Las Olas. This will be the 3rd new Sushi/Asian restaurant planning to open this summer; with Red Door opening in Johnny V's old location and Etaru in it Icon; soon there will be 7 Asian restaurants on Las Olas, plus Raw Poke Bar across the street.(Poke is basically a bowl of sushi).
It appears it isn't going to be quite what was expected given the name. This is the description they give for the restaurant:
Sushi Shack is a contemporary American Bar and Grill, known for its wide ranging, dynamic cuisine. Our goal is to provide you with the highest possible quality dining experience. Our menu features a large selection of American classics including steaks, fresh seafood, sandwiches, burgers, entre salads and of course sushi. We have a full-service bar that includes an outstanding selection of wines both by the glass and bottle, beers and top shelf liquors. We have daily happy hours and are known for our champagne and sushi specials.
Sounds like every other restaurant on Las Olas. The menu has nothing on it to get me to want to try the place.
