Lorenzos pizza

Forgive me Father for I have sinned. It's been 76 days since my last review.

Time to get back in the saddle. Restaurants are having a hard enough time without my beating them down further by criticizing their take out service; so I decided not to do any reviews until places started to get back into the normal flow. Today I felt like a slice.

This is the old Fusion Pizza location, where lime green was the dominant color. Tom's PIzza World kept the old decor, which didn't help the business. Game over was here for a short time; I'm not sure who did the remodel, but it looks more like a pizzeria now.

I order 1 slice.

"Do you want the 2 slice special?"

"No thanks, I don't want that many calories".

The concept behind "Game Over" was that you could play free arcade games while waiting or eating your pizza, and it appears Lorenzo has kept the games. I assumed they had some classic old machines like Pac-man, Asteroids or Caterpiller; maybe even the greatest video arcade game of all time, Taito's Elevator Action. But alas, this is some sort of multi-choice game center with a lot of games I've never seen or heard of before. So the games are a non-factor.

They have one of those Clover systems where you have to sign with your finger; a bad idea before the coronavirus and an even worse idea now. Do I really have to touch a screen that 30 people have touched in the last few hours?

I took the box out to the car and opened it up, revealing a rather scrawny slice.

Small slices should never be given out with a 1 slice order. They should be paired with a big slice on 2 slice orders. How is this worth $3.21?

The crust is micro thin.

But this is pretty good pizza. Good sauce, edible crust. I can almost overlook the lack of crust development. It seems like they're overstretching the dough. But this pizza has some potential.

I haven't had a non-frozen pizza in months, so maybe I'm a bit off. But this sample slice was good enough to be worth another look in the future.

Lorenzo finally got rid of the stupid pacman sign. I guess he's here to stay.
