Today is national burger day, and guess what? I can't find 1 restaurant in Fort Lauderdale offering even a small discount for their overpriced burgers; last year BurgerFi offered $5 burgers (still no bargain for fast food); this year nothing.
While restaurants whimper about what hard times these are; people are out of work. In a town where half the people work in hospitality, the multimillionaires who own most of the restaurants here are the last people who need to worry about their finances.
Imagine that there isn't 1 restaurant owner in this city with the business savvy to realize that offering even a small "deal" on National Burger Day would get them $1,000s in free advertising?
