Critic's Review
After eating a whole pizza last night I needed a low calorie day today, so naturally I thought about getting a shake. It's still hot so I might as well take advantage. I don't eat donuts, and I'd never been into the little drive-in donut shoppe.
Inside, it's you're typical Carvell/Dairy Queen interior. No people in sight. It's fairly cavernous behind the counter, and the drive in window is pretty far from the counter.
The menu in the store is different from the one on their web site; the web site has a Milk Shake category; but there's no such thing in the store. They have the word "Frozen" next to a few things, but it's pretty confusing. It's so confusing that the counter girl didn't know what was what. Another girl came over to try to clarify. "I want the one thats like a coffee shake". Ok, so that was that.
She put it on the counter without whipped cream. "You're out of whipped cream?", I quipped, knowing full well that she just didn't bother to put it on. "Oh, you want whipped cream?".
As coffee shakes go, this was better than Starbucks or Shake Shack. This was sweeter, and when I have a shake, I want it to be sweet.
Probably not the donut review you were hoping for, but I don't do donuts. The place is pretty cheap; $2.59 for a 12oz frozen drink. Not bad.
