I'm not usually out early on a Sunday morning, but in the past this place had always been packed. This morning the place was dead; no-one sitting outside on a beautiful morning; nobody inside. Maybe it's just the time of year.There are 3 distinct areas here, the Cafe on the right, what looks like a normal bakery in the center, and a specialty foods area on the left. At the bakery, they have all sorts of baked goods, croissants of course, pastries and cookies. they also have a display with quiches, pizzas and specialty sandwiches.
You place your order and if its something that needs to be prepared you pick it up in the cafe. Personally I never understood why people were willing to wait so long for rather expensive baked goods. I certainly wouldn't wait for a latte and a croissant. They get $8.75 to $9.75 for their specialty sandwiches as well.
They also have a specialty foods area where you can get cheeses, specialty meats and game meat.
I just wanted a cheese danish; I usually get it from the bakery in Publix, but I figured that I'd branch out today, since I'd forgotten to buy one on Friday. The price here is about the same, $1.80. I think it's $1.85 at publix.
