Critic's Review
The Global Grille is a hidden place that basically serves as a cafeteria and meeting place for the First Baptist Church which shares the building. They are open to the public. Its somewhat of a secret place; they have a sign on the sidewalk but the building is unmarked. The secret is that its probably the nicest place in the area to have lunch.
They're located on the second floor. There's also a small bookstore and a banquet room that can be reserved for special occasions.
There's a counter that is similar to what you'd find in a coffee house, with muffins and cookies and cake slices on display. They have espresso machines behind the counter, and a self-service coffee/tea counter, as well as iced tea with real lemon wedges available (are you LISTENING, Starbucks?). The seating has all of the elegance of a fine restaurant.
Their breakfast offerings are limited; you can get a bagel and cream cheese, an egg sandwich or an egg burrito. But for lunch they have a full menu with salads, sandwiches, burgers and even chicken parmesan. Given the other choices in the area, its certainly one of the nicer places for lunch.
