The Cheesesteak Experience is finally open, after a month of "soon" promises. Keep in mind that this was their first day open.
These are the people who have a counter in the food court at the Pompano Flea Market; I've posted their menu from there, but prices here are a bit higher. It's $7.95 for a nine inch cheesesteak. Still not too bad.
No take out menus and they don't take CC yet. But they do have food.
The place is very small. They don't have the fast food signage as they do at the flea market. It looks like a tiny pizza place; a ledge with some chairs and 2 small tables inside. More of a take out place.
I order a cheesesteak Wiz-Wit, which means with onions and cheese whiz.
A good sized sandwich; more cheese on the wrapper than the sandwich. They'll have to work on that.
The sandwich was hot, and the bread was exactly right; nice and soft. The meat needed a bit more seasoning and frankly the cheese didn't taste as cheesy as I remember cheese wiz tasting. They claim to use real Cheese Wiz, so maybe it's different out of a big can or something.
Kind of disappointing. This was like a low sodium cheesesteak.
There aren't many options in this part of town. Now there's one more.
