Description

Deano's has closed in the old Bierbrunnen Location, and a place named 5 O'Clock Charlie's is now open.

They seem to be focused on In The Biz, because it's ITB all day. Which explains why they're prices are too high for the rest of us.

These folks had their SFS liquor license revoked last month for not meeting the 50% food quota requirement (as I predicted) and have had to purchase a quota license to continue operating.

Hard to believe this place is meeting it's 50% food requirement for their liquor license. I also find it difficult to believe that they're maintaining 150 seats when they have a band playing. This place doesn't seem like a "restaurant".

Doesn't the ABT do audits anymore? Is this just the Wild West?

Because when venues that are *supposed* to be restaurants are really just bad clubs, then the whole city goes to shit. Suppose YOLO and Timpano and Big City and Grill 401 and Roccos and Bossi's and Lobster Bar decided to just serve french fries and mozzarella sticks and turn into night clubs? Why serve meals when you can just cash in on alcohol without having to bother to buy a liquor license?

The beach is populated with one bad actor after another. You pointed out Beach Bunny's open false advertising. This used to be a decent restaurant, and now for 3 years it's been another blemish on the beach.

There was a place called LaBarraca in Hollywood. One of the best restaurants in town. Spanish Tapas. The guy sold it and the person that bought it messed it up. So some lowlife bought it and turned it into a club with a restaurant license. Now it's a black hole.
