Description
Another "restaurant" opens in Fort Lauderdale under the radar. Another place serving prepared foods without a DBPR license. This seems like a neat loophole for you restaurant enthusiasts. Open with a "coffee shop" license, and then start selling prepared foods. Gran Forno Pronto has done the same thing and there doesn't seem to be a penalty. Gran Forno got nailed for not having properly trained managers, but I don't see that there was any penalty, nor were they instructed to get a DBPR license.
Why bother dealing with more frequent inspections from the DBPR when you can play the game and deal with the more lenient Dept of Agriculture?
