The Baja Beach Club has opened in Western Boca; the same owners who run the club in the Coral Ridge Shopping Center are re-opening a similar concept.

The big question is will the normally subdued Boca Raton crowd take to such a concept in modern times? Most of the people who will respond to the nostalgia of the old club are in their 50s now; so it will be interesting to see if it's just another Christopher's with an overaged disco crowd, or if it's something completely new and different.

Baja Boca will be opening on October 5.

Baja Beach Club - Grand Opening & Not So Grand Closing. after one month.

I was so disaponted.

No response from their PR firm. We offered to do a preview but they wouldn't allow any photos. So we passed. Then they put up a bunch of camera phone pictures.

So, Club Boca moved from a place it was at for 30 years; Baja went from a second story spot above a mall with an insanely dangerous staircase to The Theater to Palmetto and Powerline and then went under; What is there to do now?

I doubt they "went under". More likely they just absconded with 2 weeks of receipts.

they need a better Dj, yeah he was playing good songs but they way he "mixed" them toothier didnt go so well. It just sounded like he was playing songs from iTunes. Had a few people i talked to say the same thing.
Also do something about the "employees who sing and dance" bartenders should have to leave their spot to dance.
