Description

Boho open

Believe it or not, BOHO is closed. Somehow Harald unloaded this albatross, and today there's a flash auction for the contents of the place after just a few months.

The "idea" here was a European club with fine dining in a variety of atmospheres. This location in geriatric row boasted "international cuisine", but the menu featured overpriced ubiquitous items like $25 chicken marsala, $18 crab cakes and $29 salmon. Another restaurant trying to convince us that Fettuccine Alfredo is "international cuisine'";

Believe it or not, BOHO is open.

I was driving by and saw the signs, which is the only way I'd know.

When I first reported that Boho was going to be the new restaurant the new owners assured me that they knew what they were doing. Meanwhile, after going completely dark for months, they've now opened a restaurant without a web site, without a menu posted and without even bothering to set their hours on their facebook page. No sign permit application filed yet, which is the first thing you do.

Based on the photos I'd have to say that they don't have the kind of cohesive idea that can support a place this size.Calamari, California Rolls, Salmon, Seafood Salad. Tiramisu, Lava Cake. A mish mosh of questionable ideas.

It looks like they secured one of the Grill Republic cows. Not sure how that fits in with the concept.

It appears that Harald has finally freed himself from this albatross, and some people from Hollywood Beach will be opening a "World Cuisine" and Entertainment complex. Didn't Harald try to do that twice?

Interestingly, a guy named Walter Hernandez has registered "Anthony's Clam House and Grill" at this location. It probably would have been better to do it before they tore out all of the work the Boho people put into the place.

Someone bought this building for $1M and has gutted it; the sign indicates that they're going to be medical offices. So the string of failed restaurants that started with Zo's Off the Hook Sports Grille has come to an end.

The building has a tax value of 1.8M and was sold for $450K in 1977, so it looks like the owner just wanted to get out.

So this building is up for sale for just $1.5M. It probably would be a better value if it didn't have a history of one failed restaurant after another (or a current tenant). It appears that they ripped the kitchen for some reason.

What's Herald going to put here this time? German cuisine cushioned with sushi??

Harald. Didn't these guys buy the place from him?

These places close down and they don't even put up a message facebook or anything to thank whatever customers they have. No wonder they go out of business. They have no respect for the community.

What's the angle here? It's like a bad vegas lounge.

1 1 star review and 13 filtered reviews on Yelp. It's a dog eat dog world trying to get your fake message out.

The dreaded month-long soft opening!

It looks like they gave up on Lunch. They open at 2pm. Very odd.

Open over 2 weeks, 1 1 star review, lunch menu still "coming soon" and a hard to read color scheme on their website. And they're using my photo on their website; like they can't step outside and take their own?

What a mess. They open at 11, but their lunch menu is "coming soon". Get it together, people.

Reminds me of Voodka. They promised an international menu and then had fettuccine alfredo and scottish salmon. It was kind of a joke.
