Critic's Review
A 3rd Wingstop is opening in this area, so it was time to try this place out. Wings are good when you're not really hungry because you can reheat them or even even eat them cold. I was picking up a few things at Walmart, so I used their online ordering to order 10 wings. 2 good things; you can order 2 different flavors for your 10 wing order, and you can pay at the store. I ordered 5 mild buffalo wings and 5 Original hot buffalo wings. No messing with other flavors.
The system told me it would be ready in 18-23 minutes; about how long it would take me to get there. I was there in 20 minutes and the order was ready.
This place is a real pigsty; you're not eating in here. I didn't get an interior show because there were too many cretins just hanging around. I opened the bag in the car, hoping to get a taste right out of the oven.
10 wings and no napkins. How do you pack buffalo wings with no napkins? I wouldn't be trying these until I get home.
The wings don't come with blue cheese, and I didn't want to pay $1 for a thimble of something I might not like. I had the ingredients at home.
They were still warm when I got home. I tried 1 mild and 1 hot without any sause; the mild was much better; more balanced flavors. The hot tasted like hot sauce. They're pretty good wings in terms of meatiness.
The next test was the cold wings test. The blue cheese I'd made was ready; not too bad out of the fridge, but better hot.
2 days later, I reheated a couple in the air fryer.
Not too bad; even well done they weren't too over done.
Conclusion
While the wings were fine, I have to question why these place are popping up all over. Do people eat wings for lunch with no napkins? If you're eating them at home, these wings were no better than the ones I got at Whole Foods a few weeks back. There are lots of supermarket options; these really aren't any better.
