Critic's Review
I've passed Antonio's a few times on my way to Hollywood beach, but haven't had a chance to try it. It's not that far from Fort Lauderdale; closer than Hollywood.
Antonio's is a little place in a dreary strip mall; tucked in the corner behind a lot of foliage. There's not much going on here: There a big counter and a couple of tables up front.
I ordered a 1/2 sausage pizza and it was ready when I got there 20 minutes later. It seems that when you order a 1/2 topping they give you a whole topping on 1/2 the pizza, which isn't necessarily what's wanted. Also be careful of the semantics. They consider 14" a "large" pizza and 16" X-tra large, so order by inches. This pizza was $15.10 with tax.
At first glance the pizza looked good. And in fact it was. I'm still not entirely used to the smaller 16" slices, but the sauce was good, there was just enough cheese and they used a good amount of good italian sausage.
A plus pie for certain. Even the crust was edible. It did fail the next day cold pizza test, so you'd best eat the whole thing when you get it.
