Solid Gold

Solid gold is the closest strip club to where I live, but for some reason I'd never here before. I heard it wasn't that good or something. It's not something I do often anyway. This place is on the side of a strip mall around the corner from a Thai restaurant. They have a valet or you can just park in the strip mall lot if you go at night.

Physically, this is the nicest club I've been to in the Fort Lauderdale area. It's nicely furnished and they have interesting decor. The trapeze are a bit strange, but this is an attractive space.

Their happy hour is from 4pm-7pm and they advertise free admission and a free buffet. I got there at 6:30 and the buffet was long over, so don't expect food if you get there on the tail end. No cover before 7pm. I saw a bottle of Saratoga on the bar, so it gave me an idea that I didn't feel like drinking yet. Of course the bartender didn't bother to tell me that water wasn't included in the 2 for 1 happy hour. I can get a beer, but not a sparkling water. Great.

There wasn't a lot of activity, there were some thin, busty women dancing but not really my type. There were a bunch of girls at the end of the bar just smoking and chatting. The only one that hit on me was in her 50s, which isn't exactly what I'm looking for when I go to a strip club.

At 7pm, they do the runway thing, where all of the girls come out and there's a 2 for 1 dance afterwards. It's a bit disorganized. They first come out in clothes (if you call what they wear clothes), and then circle back and come out again in their G-strings. I was almost laughing at how few even marginally attractive women there were. In fact, I seriously considered bolting during the circle-back.

With only a handful of guys in the place and about 25 dancers, the girls work fast to try to get a gig. One not-too-bad one with a nice natural rack offered herself to me, but I passed. Then a little Hungarian cutie that I hadn't seen before bounded into my crotch. She was no 10 but really cute with a nice little body. So I took the 2 for 1 deal.

She was a pretty good sport but she wasn't a very good lap dancer; the 3 standard moves over and over again. Reminded me of the box-step. She didn't hurt me and she moaned a lot which is always a plus.

I didn't see too much else of interest and I wanted to get to Pure Platinum before their happy hour ended at 8pm, so I was out after that.
