Moes

I'd never been to a Moe's; for some reason I always put them into the same category as Taco Bell. I thought maybe that wasn't fair. So I thought I'd give them a try.

Inside its nicer than your average taco bell, with nice booths and a long counter on the left where you do your ordering. Its menu is a lot like Chipotle; they have bowls and burritos as well as other Tex-Mex stuff. I didn't feel like another sandwich so I opted for the chicken bowl, which is rice, beans, chicken and whatever else you want with it.

I opted for some weird stuff; mushrooms, peppers and onions and cheese, but normally this stuff would work with chicken and beans. It didn't work here. Mainly because Moe's "stuff" just isn't that good.

Let's start with the extras. The salsa was lousy. It wasn't fresh. There's too much cilantro. I couldn't eat it. I didn't like the chipotle sauce either. It's very smokey but not a good taste. Their mushrooms are old and musty tasting. The peppers and onions are just limp and overdone. The chicken, rice and beans are ok. But it just wasn't that good.

As for this particular location, with Natural Chicken Grill in the same center, there's zero reason to go to this place. Go to Natural Chicken Kitchen. Trust me.
