Inside the bowels of the Embassy Suites Hotel is E Spot. Its one of those places that nobody knows about, so even though its a pretty nice place there's rarely anyone there. On a Friday night when the atrium is packed with people, there hardly a soul in the much fancier bar.
The E Spot is a nice place. Its all granite and there are nice views of the pool area.
One of the big problems with the Embassy is that its a gated structure and its a pain to get to. I called once to ask about the parking for the restaurant; I couldn't find anyone who could tell me how much parking cost or if the restaurant validated. The Embassy also gets a somewhat lower class crowd, and to get to the E Spot requires negotiating the elements. There was a family with no social skills in the doorway when I left who had no understanding that there are other people in the world, for example.
To avoid the parking issues, you could park near Duffy's and walk into the gate entry on Cordova road.
One good thing about the E Spot; you'll never have any trouble getting a bar stool.
