Description
Small family run restaurant that is different than any other. Its a small storefront; not unlike a typical pizzeria. They ad no liquor license so you used to be able to bring your own wine with no corkage fee. I think that's a big part of the pull. They just obtained a wine and beer license, so I think the BYOB day's are probably over; at least the free corkage. You can order a pizza, or you can let them serve you. They cook food all evening and bring it out to the guests as its done. You don't get a full plate; just tastes of each dish. Then when you're ready to go you get a bill. Its sort of like eating dinner at a relatives house, except you have to pay for what you ate when you're done.
This bill is as good as a menu. These are NYC prices for eating in a remote Pompano neighborhood in a glorified pizzeria. It's Italian food, people. It's not that hard to make good Italian food.
This is not a place for anyone on a diet or a budget. The price will be a complete surprise. Probably a lot more than you think.
You'll need reservations for dinner.
I was in the restaurant business for twenty years and know what good Italian food is all about, they don't. Be sure you ask the price of whatever you order!!! The service and ambiance are non existent. Don't be taken in by the fact that there is no menu as is the custom in Italy. Our bill was $500.00 with tip and no drinks we brought our own wine.
By the way their pizza sucks too.
