Dennis Max has probably opened and closed as many restaurants in South Florida as anyone else. The lone survivor, Max's Grille in Boca's Mizner Park, is a favorite spot for many in Boca. Leveraging the Farm to Table craze, Max has hired Chris Mircolo, the former chef at Himmarshee Bar and Grille. Miracolo opened Tarpon Bend in 1999 for Peter Boloukos, and also worked under Mark Militello at Mark's Las Olas.
The menu is similar to other Farm to Table concepts, and one has to wonder about the wisdom of opening a 3rd such restaurant in little Delray Beach (32 East and DIG are the others). Are there enough diners in search of froofy menus in this little town?
Max's Harvest opened on June 9, but from the photo here (taken on June 11), it's still a work in progress.
